So Over This Texas Storm Season

This year seems to have been worse than previous years. Last night we had more tornado producing storms come through the area. At one point it was aimed right at us so we decided it was time to bail and spent the night at my in law's house. Luckily everyone and the house was safe and it decided to make a turn before it reached our house's location. I am definitely ready to move on to the summer weather, even given how hot it will be, and just get past all the really bad storms. I don't mind the rain and even thunder and lightning but the risk of hail and tornadoes needs to go.

Weekend's wear me out

This weekend went great with my brother's graduation and all the family hoopla! The rest of the weekend was business as regular but I was so tired from Thursday and Friday that it made Saturday and Sunday seem longer.

This week we are doing swim lessons with the kids. This will be Charlie's second time through but Jackson's first! It'll be fun to see how Charlie handles it now that she's older and has more personality. Jackson, I'm sure will love getting in the water but not sure he'll care for the dunking aspects.

I'm starting to send out invites for Jackson's 1st Birthday and I'm super excited for the party in June! I'll post things as I start to work on them.

Graduation and Family

I'm very excited for this week to come to an end as my family will be coming up for my brother's graduation from college! I'm very excited that he is graduating from my alma mater! It has been a long time coming and I could not be more proud of him for finishing his degree and in the fall he'll be starting his masters!

I'm excited to spend a couple days as a family and celebrate his accomplishment!

Happy Mother's Day

So yesterday was Mother's day. It was just a normal day in my household with 2 kids 2 and under. I would have been totally fine with a boring day at home with my kiddos. The weather however has plans of its own. Storm after storm nailed Northern Texas. Then we had a tornado come through town and we had to spend part of our day in the bathtub. Not really a fan of days like that. I'll post more soon because I feel like I'm still recovering from the weekend. Hope everyone else had a good day!

Pre-Weekend Post

This week has been crazy at work. We are gearing up for Orientation season which leads to lots of busy days. I'm also preparing to travel to my hometown this weekend with both kids. My dad won tickets to Disney on Ice so I'll be taking Charlie to go see it and Jackson will hangout with the grandparents.

Jamberry Nails are still going strong. I've placed 2 orders for 2 styles of wraps. 1 I will wear for Jackson's Birthday Party. The other is something that reminds me of my grandparents that I'll probably just wear for fun. I've looked at possibly selling in the future but we'll see how it goes first with hosting a party.

I'll post an update from the trip Monday and include some tricks and tips for traveling with small children in the car alone :)

My Princess

As many know, there's a new princess in Britain. Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. A Great name choice if I do say so myself. Congrats to the Royal Family!

moving on to MY Princess Charlotte :)

Charlotte has been doing dance for almost a year. It wasn't until last month when she really started participating and enjoying the courses to their full potential. She of course has been dancing around the house since before she could stand but actually following a teacher is a different story. These past sessions have been wonderful. Her instructor is amazing! I'm excited to see her grow in her love for Dance and making friends.

Nap time post

It's nap time in my house so I get a few minutes to myself. Clean up a not, shower, watch tv other than cartoons, and get a moment to blog.

Jamberry nails are still holding up after the days of waking hands, showing, cake making, diaper changes, and work. I can definitely see myself investing in some for myself as soon add the budget permits it.
