It's amazing how quickly babies turn into tiny people. Today I was holding a two day old and thinking just how small she was and that it's really hard to remember Charlotte being that little. Granted the baby I was holding is a small baby but only about 10oz smaller than Charlotte was. The last 5 and a half months have flown by and now she's this little person with quite a personality and tons of smiles. It definitely made me miss how snugly she was when she was a newborn. Now all she wants to do is explore this new thing called rolling over. I love watching her grow and learn but each day passes so quickly that I feel like we blinked and the precious time she was so small is behind us. I will say that with that went the sleepless nights (for the most part) which is always a plus.
It wasn't that long ago that I was a first time mom with a newborn and yet just 5 and a half months later I am a go to for other moms and I feel completely comfortable being a mom and like this is who I've always been meant to be.
The takeaway for today is to enjoy those precious fleeting moments with your little ones because they pass too quickly.
