The only way I'll surrender is if Charlotte is happy

I've been a little MIA again. Partially because I'm finding that I don't have much material for topics lately and partially because I've been under the weather. Turns out, under the weather for me this time around means Strep. Never had it before, expected it to be worse. For me, my throat is always the first to turn against me so I didn't think too much of it but the sinuses kicked in and I felt bad enough that I went to the doctor yesterday and sure enough I tested positive for strep. It was kind of a shocker for me. So now I'm banned from work until monday and I'm home "resting", which really means I'm in my room hiding from the world with the laptop, the budget binder, and my cell phone. I spent the morning taking care of Charlotte and spending time with her then the nanny came, thankfully! My energy was weaning. I will say that I find a big difference in being sick now than I did before. I have always fought when sickness was coming on but eventually I give in and just let it swallow me whole. I find that now with a baby I fight harder and longer before giving in and instead of letting it swallow me whole for a day at a time, I'll only let it take over once she has gone to bed. It's like she gets all of me and it gets what she doesn't want. My body is definitely not my own anymore, that's for sure. Loving her more and more everyday overshadows the sacrificing that I do everyday and it is worth everything I have to give to see that little girl smile. I'm sure if my mom reads this she'll be proud that her little girl has grown up and I hope she thinks that she has raised one hell of a mother herself. If that makes sense!

Now on to less responsible things...today is Ke$ha's Birthday!!! Time to party like the animal I am. Well after I take a nap.
