A Hockey Post...It Finally Comes Out

For awhile now, I've been toying with they idea of starting a blog dedicated specifically to my love of hockey but until I feel really knowledgeable in the subject, I won't start a full blog. Until then, enjoy my first ever post on the topic...at least this in depth...

As most know, I have an obsession with Hockey, specifically San Jose Sharks Hockey! With tomorrow being the deadline for trades, like many other Sharks fans, I too am waiting to see what will happen as far as who gets traded. Specifically with Ryane Clowe. Personally, I think it would be a mistake to trade him. He has been a consistent force with the Sharks for many years and even though this season, he has yet to score a goal, he has been there in a big way for the Sharks. He is a heavy hitter and known to fight which the Sharks need, especially now that Douglas Murray has been traded to the Penguins. He also is good under pressure and as the season comes to an end and hopefully we make it to Playoffs, we would need his skill on the ice and his ability to bring it when needed. Removing Ryane also changes of the lines and as seen during the month of February when the Sharks were moving lines around because of Injuries, this is not a good idea. Some of the players just play better with certain people on their line. For example, I personally think that Thornton and Marleau should always be on the same line. They complete each other..cheesy but true. Can we win without Ryane, sure we can, we did it last night vs Vancouver, however, when we play a heavier hitting team, we need his muscle and his leverage which we just aren't seeing get signed in these entry level players that have been added over the past week.

I know we will know more by tomorrow but waiting is not my specialty. I just hope the Sharks don't dismantle this team like it seems they are doing by removing players that have been on the team for years. What happens will happen, I will mourn the loses and continue to cheer on my time either way because I'm SJS for life but I really wish they'd stop sending my guys away.
