Finding the Balance, Continued
The past few weeks have been tough. I've been trying hard to find the balance in all my roles and find myself again. It's hard to not get caught up in everything you have to do each week. I find that I lose myself and that's when it gets challenging to do anything. This weekend I found myself and I found a way to balance it all. It helps when I have wonderful friends and things to do that I can also do with Charlie. I get to not only be an Advisor, Wife, and Mother, but I also get to still be a friend and person. For awhile, I had things I did for me, my love of hockey, blogs, listening to music, but I wasn't getting out on weekends and that was a downer. Thanks to some amazing friends, I was barely home this weekend and it made for a tiring yet very rewarding weekend. I think it's important to note that I did not ditch my motherly duties, maybe some cleaning and housework but not Charlie. She came with me on all of my outings. Saturday was a fun hockey game watching a friend's husband play while our girls were with us and then I met up with some couple friends at a restaurant to chat and catch up. Then Sunday was a playdate. I love getting to find ways to get out and see people, especially when Kagun works all weekend. Here's to hoping this continues.
